Christopher R. Hayes was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri where he attained his B.A. in English with a minor in History while graduating Cum laude. Chris graduated from the University of Missouri at Columbia School of Law in 2004. While attending law school, he volunteered over 400 hours of service in the Boone County Public Defender Office as a Rule 13 certfiied student committed to advancing the legal rights of indigent citizens. Chris was the recipient of the Thurgood Marshall Scholar award. He is a member of the Missouir Bar Association and has been sworn in before the Federal Court for the Eastern District of Missouri.
